The plugin checks everything for you and shows Live on your site. If anything needs fixing, it tells you exactly what to do.
One settings screen. That's all.
Everything about how your assistant looks and behaves lives in your Clvrly portal. The plugin just connects the two.
- Automatic installation check that spots caching, duplicate-script and optimiser problems, and tells you exactly what to fix
- Daily background check, plus a Dashboard alert and Site Health report if anything breaks
- Hide it on any page with one switch in the editor, or show it only to logged-out visitors
- Clvrly Assistant block and
[clvrly]shortcode to build it into a help or contact page - Works alongside WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache, Autoptimize, SiteGround Optimizer, Perfmatters and Cloudflare
- Survives theme changes and updates
More than a WordPress chatbot
Most chatbot plugins need you to write scripts or train them by hand. Clvrly reads the content you've already published and answers from it.
Visitors ask in plain language and get a straight answer from your own pages, any time of day. Every question they ask shows up in your portal, so you can see what people came looking for and where your site falls short.

WordPress plugin FAQ
Can't see your question? Ask the assistant at the top of this page.
Is the Clvrly WordPress plugin free?
Yes, the plugin itself is free. It connects your site to a Clvrly account, which runs the assistant. Every paid plan comes with a 1-month free trial, and you can cancel any time before it ends.
Do I need to know any code?
No. Install the plugin, paste your token into Settings → Clvrly and click save. You never touch your theme files or header code.
Where do I find my token?
Sign in to your Clvrly portal and open "Your Embed Code". You can paste the whole snippet into the plugin and it picks the token out for you, or copy just the data-token value.
How do I know it's working?
The plugin checks your installation as soon as you save. It confirms your token, domain and subscription, then loads your homepage to make sure the assistant is really there. If something is wrong, such as a cache serving an old page or the script loaded twice, it tells you exactly how to fix it. The same check appears in Tools → Site Health and runs once a day in the background.
Will it slow down my site?
No. The assistant script loads with defer, so it never blocks your page from displaying, and the plugin opens the connection to Clvrly early so the assistant appears quickly. It is skipped on admin pages, feeds, embeds and AMP pages.
Does it work with WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache and other optimisation plugins?
Yes. The plugin automatically excludes the assistant from WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache, Autoptimize, SiteGround Optimizer, Perfmatters and Cloudflare Rocket Loader, so "delay JavaScript" settings don't break it. If another plugin does interfere, the installation check spots it and tells you what to change.
Can I hide the assistant on certain pages?
Yes. Open any page in the editor and switch on "Hide the assistant on this page" in the Clvrly panel. You can also show it only to visitors who aren't logged in, or switch it off for the whole site without losing your settings.
Can I put the assistant inside a page instead of a floating button?
Yes. Add the Clvrly Assistant block where you want it, or use the [clvrly] shortcode in page builders like Elementor. Then set Display mode to "Inline" in your Clvrly portal.
How do I change how the assistant looks?
Colours, position, welcome message and mobile visibility are all managed in your Clvrly portal. Changes appear on your WordPress site automatically, with no need to touch the plugin again.
Does it work with block themes, Elementor and Divi?
Yes. The plugin adds the assistant through WordPress itself rather than your theme, so it works with block themes, classic themes and page builders, and it survives theme changes and updates. It also stays out of your way inside the Elementor, Divi, Beaver Builder and Bricks editors.
I already added the Clvrly script by hand. Should I switch?
Yes, it's more reliable. Remove the script from header.php or your header/footer plugin, then install the plugin and paste your token. If you forget to remove the old script, the installation check warns you that it's loaded twice.
I manage lots of client sites. Is there anything for agencies?
Yes. Set the token in wp-config.php with the CLVRLY_TOKEN constant, or use WP-CLI: "wp clvrly connect <token>" and "wp clvrly check", which exits with an error code if anything needs fixing.
