Copy your code from Your Embed Code in the Clvrly portal, then follow these steps. It takes about five minutes.
- In your Squarespace dashboard, open Settings.
- Go to Developer tools → Code injection. On older sites it's under Advanced → Code injection.
- Paste your Clvrly code into the Header box.
- Click Save.
- Open your live site in a private window to see the assistant.
Squarespace doesn't run injected code while you're logged in and editing, so check your live site in a private window.

Which Squarespace plans does Clvrly work with?
Any plan that includes Code Injection. On current plans that's Core and above; on older plans it's Business and above. The entry-level Personal plan doesn't allow it.
Does Code Injection put the assistant on every page?
Yes. The Header box applies to the whole site, so the assistant appears on every public page.
Can I use a Code Block instead?
You can, but a Code Block only covers the page it's on and can load later than the rest of the page. Code Injection is more reliable.
Does it work with Squarespace Commerce?
Yes. Clvrly reads your published pages, including product pages, and answers questions about them. Squarespace's checkout pages are separate and the assistant doesn't appear there.
Do I need to know any code?
No. You copy one line from your Clvrly portal and paste it into one box in Squarespace. You don't need to understand or change it.
Where do I find my Clvrly code?
Sign in to your Clvrly portal and open Your Embed Code. Copy the whole line exactly as shown.
Will it slow down my site?
No. The script loads with defer, so it never holds up your page, and the assistant appears once the page is ready.
How do I change how the assistant looks?
Colours, position, welcome message and mobile visibility are all set in your Clvrly portal. Changes appear on your site automatically, without touching Squarespace again.
The assistant isn't showing. What should I check?
Make sure the domain you're viewing is added in your Clvrly portal, that you saved (and published, if needed) in Squarespace, and that you're looking at the live site rather than a preview. Still stuck? Email [email protected].
